Common Ways of Boosting Metabolism
Some are just much luckier than we are. In this
body-conscious world, it is important to have an ideal body
that can standout, not by way of course, of being too
large.
There are always good ways to maintain the weight you have
always wished for. But for those we are not as blessed as they
want themselves to be, it is often tempting to blame it all on
metabolism.
By word metabolism, we pertain to a biological process that
allows the rate at which calories in the body are burnt out
which in the end influence the weight gain or loss.
It involves complex systems of enzymes and hormones that
facilitate the conversion of fuel to energy. The sad truth
though is that we have different rates by which our calories
burn. That’s why it is important to encourage metabolism for
better loss of reserved fuel, if our main aim is to shed off
some extra pounds.
This article will help you give ideas on how to promote
better metabolism. Please read on.
Eat More Often, Burn More
This is not the same as eating more foods and burning more
in the end. However, what we want to impose here is that the
greater the frequency of food intake you have, the more likely
you are to encourage your metabolism rate.
Small but more frequent intake of foods will keep your
metabolism running. Eventually, you will be able to burn more
calories.
In fact, when you delay your meals, your system would
compensate the foods with slower metabolism. Thus, not eating
would do you more harm than good.
Afterwards, you are compelled to eat more than what you
usually do, either by hunger or any similar sensation. This
would not alter the slow metabolism that has been functioning
since you starve yourself. What's more, your body would
maximize every calorie that you take.
Initially, this system of slower metabolism through
starvation would not manifest. But, making this habit will
warrant you with difficulty of facilitating better
metabolism.
Eat fat-burning foods
Yes, there are calories in most stuff we eat and exemptions
are too minimal. However, you may always try to avoid much
larger calories by keeping you stuffed through eating
fat-burning foods.
In fact, all foods have the property of boosting your
metabolism initially. The difference though is that some may
increase your metabolism in the long run.
Spicy ingredient, more specifically red peppers can increase
normal metabolism by up to 20% during the first 30 minutes
after a meal. It is not certain though if this pace is kept for
beyond this time frame.
Green tea is also known to have the same effect since it
contains high level of epigallocatechin gallate oxidant. It is,
however, not clear if the effects are enough to facilitate the
boost of weight loss.
Vitamin C is also known to increase the metabolic rate. This
can be best obtained through eating citrus fruits such as
oranges, limes, lemons and a couple of others.
There are other various ways of increasing the rate of your
metabolism. You may do regular exercises specifically
cardiovascular activities or through following a comprehensive
and non-fad dieting system.
Indeed, it is not hard to lose some weight. What is hard though
is one's patience and determination to keep himself in pace
towards loosing weight via metabolism.
